My Squid in Olive Oil & Garlic Recipe!

Last week, my mom gave me some frozen squid that I decided to cook today. I had to call my Lola and ask her how to clean the squid. It's easy to clean but there's that really yucky feeling while doing it. I survived though. LOL!!! Anyway, I made up my own yummy recipe of your average squid in Olive Oil and garlic :) You can try my recipe if you want. My husband says it's really good!:)

What you need:

6-8 pcs medium squid

10 tablespoons Olive Oil

10 cloves of garlic

2 tablespoons vinegar

a pinch of salt (to taste)

1 tablespoon Oyster Sauce (only if you want to add this)

1 tablespoon brown sugar (again, only if you want a sweet taste)

Crush the garlic then marinade it in the olive oil and salt for about 15-20 minutes. While it's marinating, you can boil the squid in the vinegar. It will take about 5-10 minutes on medium heat. Remove the squid from the vinegar and set aside. Throw away the vinegar and then clean the pan. Get the olive oil, garlic and salt marinade and fry the garlic until it turns brown then add the squid. After about 5 minutes, taste it, if it's okay, then you're good to go. Some people like it as simple as that but I wanted it to be a bit sweet so I added brown sugar and some oyster sauce.:)

Serve with white or brown rice!

I LOVE RMK! :)

I love make up!!! I love all kinds just as long as they don't irritate my skin. I'd have to say that RMK is the BEST make up for me! Even if I have it on all day and night (most of the time 20-24 hours during taping days), I do not get pimples! It does not irritate my skin at all and it's not heavy on my face even if I have to retouch my make up a lot of times during tapings. :) The only problem with RMK is, we don't have it here in the Philippines. I always have to buy it when I go to Hong Kong or if a friend or a relative goes to HK, I ask them to buy for me. :)



Speaking of buying for me, my mom went to HK recently and she bought me some more RMK!!! I love her!:) She also bought me some lashes and two different kinds of lash glue. I love eyelashes!!! I will blog about the best lashes soon:)

THE BLENDER BOTTLE

The BLENDER BOTTLE is my newest buddy everywhere! It's a portable mixer so you can practically bring it everywhere and it is so easy to use! When I am at home, I use it for dips, sauces, salad dressings and shakes. I also bring it with me when I travel out of town so I won't have to bring a huge mixer. Sometimes, I bring it to taping also when I want to make smoothies on the set.:)

 I made a Thai-inspired chicken salad the other day and I used my BLENDER BOTTLE to mix the dressing:) It is so easy to use and clean as well. It comes with a blender ball (it's a round whisk ball),that is the essential tool used to mix the ingredients together.

Super Starstruck kay Mega:)

The very first time I met the Megastar, Miss Sharon Cuneta was six years ago after PBB.:) I was super starstruck so I was shy to have my pic taken with her. Last night during our Stop, Talk & Listen taping, IC Mendoza (who is one of our hosts now:) and I saw Mega at the third floor of the Viva Studios in QC. We just had to get a pic taken with our newest Kapatid :)

Sorry guys for the 2 week break! I have been a bit busy with taping for PS I LOVE YOU(TV5) and for my talkshow Stop, Talk & Listen on Viva Cinema. 

 Super awesome Halloween Bash at Mara and Cara Villavicencio's place! It was my first time to attend and everyone really dressed up! Some even got their costumes made ahead of time!:) I was a super conservative Playboy Bunny. I could never wear the sexy tanga!HAHA!Thank you Cat Ilacad, Mara, and Cara for inviting me to the party. I had a blast! Great food, people, band, drinks! Everything:)

 My fave doctor, Doc Aye, Doctor of the Celebs in his Avatar costume. He said he had to wait 3 hours for the make up to finish:)

 I attended another party at Dillinger's in Greenbelt :) I was an angel naman haha:)

As you all know, I love to talk! I am super madaldal! Hahaha! Which is probably why I've always dreamed of becoming a talk show host:) I was part of Wazzup Wazzup, I did two weeks of PBB Up Late and Update during the first PBB Celeb Edition (Keanna's batch), also hosted Stoplight Tv, Rush Tv both on Studio 23, and did you also know that even before PBB, I was a courtside reporter for my school CSB?:) Haha:) Well anyway, now I'm one of the hosts of STOP, TALK & LISTEN. It is a daily talk show (I mean, monday-sunday talaga) on Viva Cinema. :) Publicist Jun Lalin and Youtube Beki master Bekimon are the other hosts of the show. Super chika to the max kaming tatlo palagi:)

We tape at the Viva Studios in Timog. Most of the time, we argue about certain issues. Of course it would be impossible to have the same opinion about things if you have three different hosts di ba. Our arguments make the show fun, I think:)

I am always excited to go to our tapings! I make sure I have reviewed all the showbiz chika from different showbiz sites so that I have "baon" for taping:)

Since our show is on cable, we are more free to express our opinion on the current showbiz issues. 

Sometimes, when the issue we're talking about is boring, we just talk about whatever we can think of. Anything goes! Our twitter and facebook followers love it when we do that. Haha! Thanks for the feedback, by the way:)

We get all kinds of feedback. We even read them out on air. Sometimes, good feedback, which we love, of course, sometimes bad. For example, a fan got mad at us one time because we sided with another artista. We always remind our viewers. STL is a talk show and we give our own opinion on the issues:)

 If you have Viva Cinema on your cable, please try to catch our show. It's on everyday! New episodes air at 7pm, daily.:) Replays are 12midnight, 12noon, 5am (it actually depends on the movie before the show) :)

Better than ice cream and yogurt!:)

 After a few hours, I got hungry again haha so I ordered their vegetable lasagna which tastes like meaty lasagna. I also ordered their Yakult Fruit Tea with Boba. Boba is popping sago. Sooo yum:)

Cold Layers specializes in shaved ice so I was able to try new flavors:) Avocado, Milk, and chocolate:) Sooo yummy!!!:)

 Their mais con yelo snow ice is called "Secret Affair" and if you like the normal mais con yelo, you will definately love this healthy alternative:)
